Crew/Sailing companions (2) needed for leisurely cruise from Puerto Rico to the Exumas from present thru Mid-July, 2005 aboard the 35' Hallberg-Rassy sloop "Gladys". OK for all or part of trip. Shared boat expenses (fuel, food, custom fees(minimal), etc). You pay you own airfare. Captain has USCG License and is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor. Smoking topside only (with restrictions). Alcohol blood levels must be at legal driving levels while aboard; must be zero while vessel is in operation. General Comments
I'm an inexperienced, athletic college student taking a semester off.  I'm looking to travel anywhere in the world that is warm or interesting on a boat.  I'm willing to work in any manner (cooking, cleaning, sailing, etc) aboard the boat for 3-4 months but must have expenses paid for.  Additional pay is not required.  

I'm very athletic (road bike racer), studious (Bioengineering major) and hard working.  I have a great, free thinking, liberal attitude and am looking for a relaxed host willing to train me in sailing to some extent.   I can bring a good attitude and a smile to any boat.

I love the carribbean and snorkeling.  I'm interested in any offer out there.

I can tie a bowline with my eyes closed. I also have lots of experience as a helmsman and line handler.Both vessels I sailed on were about 175 by 40 with a 6 foot draft. Crewed as cook-deckhand on a 65ft Nautor Swan ketch, delivery from Auckland to Tahiti and from Tahiti to Fiji.
In French Polynesia I worked as stewardess on a liveaboard dive boat cruising the Society Islands.
I am 27 years old, European, with High School Diploma in foreign languages. I speak fluent English, Italian, French, Spanish and basic German.
PADI Divemaster, fit swimmer, non-smoker, smiley and enthusiastic, eager to learn and gain more experience.
I am temporarily living in Switzerland, but I am really hoping to find a boat to crew soon , desperately missing the sea! Ideally I would love to work in the Mediterranean 2005 summer season and then move to the South Pacific, but will consider all options.

I have 3 years of sailing experience in the Israeli Navy Service as a Chief Engineer and with a License from the Israeli Transport Ministry as a skipper for up to 24m boats. I also have 2 years of additional sailing experience as a deckhand through the Israeli sailing youth
organisation, 'Sea Scouts'.
Engineer's experience working with 70 ton ships with engine specification of 2,400kw.

Our names are Cam and Jules we are an Australian couple in our early thirties. We own our safe and strongly constructed 42ft steel yacht. If you are interested in sailing, exploring, walking, fishing for food, diving, surf skiing, surfing, snorkelling, music, sunset drinks, and having a laugh then you’ll have fun. As a crewmember you would be involved in everything it takes to get a boat to its next destination including sailing, cooking, cleaning, provisioning, re-fuelling, water replenishment, boat maintenance and sharing expenses.

No experience necessary, you don’t need to be an “Ocean Yacht Master” to be of value to us and yourself. One think to understand is that joining a crew is not a means of transport it is a lifestyle and a cruising yacht is not a cruise ship.

What skills would make you an excellent crew member?
• Good sense of humour and can make your own fun
• Independent yet considerate
• Interactive yet appreciative of personal space (we don’t want to be someone’s parents we are looking to cruise with equal minded friends)
• Good work ethic and strong commitment to learning

• If you are accident prone, a fumble fingers, or have learning disabilities.
• If you are unaware of personal hygiene issues, e.g you need to be told to wash your clothes and bedding regularly

• Attitude that you are along just for the ‘cheap’ ride
May seem a little serious however we want capable fun crew so everyone has a goodtime.

We are currently in Singapore; plan to cruise up to Malaysia and then the Islands west of Thailand. In early February then head across the Indian Ocean to the Red Sea and up to the Mediterranean. Our long term plan is to complete a world circumnavigation.

Of course, in light of the recent quake and tsunami devastation these plans are flexible, as cruising plans always are. We are also trying to offer assistance to aid along our way, possibly the Andaman’s, would you consider helping too?

We share all living expenses for example food, water, fuels, port clearance, and marina costs. Alcohol purchased individually. You must have your own return travel arrangements and pay for all your other expenses.

My name is Robb and I am a 28 year old sailor, in good health, who is seeking a crewing position for a 2-3 week period +/- during Jan – Mar period of 2005. My schedule is flexible, I am seeking a warm water passage or cruising (Caribbean or Pacific etc. etc...)

I have 20+ years of sailboat cruising and racing experience, crewing/sailing on everything from a Laser to an Endeavor 40.

I am not claiming to know everything just that I have been around sailboats long enough to know my way around things for the most part, I am always eager to learn and try new things but I have enough experience to handle watches etc on my own if need be. I have reasonable piloting and navigation skills as well and I am not too terrible a cook either (please note my careful wording!). I am not afraid of hard work but like most people (especially sailors) love to laugh and have fun too...

I have a good personality and am reasonably laid back, I am respectful and courteous as well as reliable. I currently own a Morgan 27 that I manage to race with a good deal of success locally.

As stated I am in good health and quite literally in marathon condition. I am a dual citizen and travel on both a US and/or Canadian Passport.

I consider myself a prudent and safe sailor and will only sail with those who are the like (accordingly I will need to know your experience level, details on the vessel and her equipment, and itinerary for the trip, etc.)

I'm a 41 yr old Canadian with a valid passport non-smoker social drinker ,love to see new places and met new people. like to snorkel ,dive windsurf, pretty much any thing to do with the water
i grew up on a farm near the great lakes in Ontario Canada ,so have all ways been around boats and all kinds of equipment and engines.
started sailing windsurfers and Hobie's about 20 years ago then friends started me into big boat racing and racing I 14's. now have approximately 4000 blue water mile experience and may destinations
i was a technician for xerox for a number of year but was layed off in the summer of 2002. this worked out well though ,as i met a fellow sailer shortly after with little sailing experience that need crew to help him with his boat in the Bahamas. met with the boat ,a Pearson 37 ,in January 2003 in the Bahamas ,sailed throughout the Bahamas for the winter then delivered the boat back to the great lakes in may . took care of all aspects of crew ,navigation ,watches ,repairs, cleaning ,cooking,etc...
helped with our family farm for the 2003 season, the farm has now been rented to neighbours. then found another boat to crew on. met with this boat a 60ft aluminium ketch in the Marshall island in Feb 2004 . sail around the Marshall's for a few months then helped deliver the boat to Fiji where it was hulled out for a number of month for major repairs. found another boat a maple leaf 48 to crew on around Fiji .
in June i was offered a position to take care of two 52 ft trawlers .met the first one in Mexico and moved it to Florida. then moved on to Spain to take care of the other boat for the month of July ,then back to Florida to deliver the first boat to a broker . i am now back in Spain at Mallorca to set the boat here up for winter storage. have been in charge of all aspect of the boats -skipper ,repairs,maintenance,boat yard repairs, in charge of crew ,cleaning ,cooking etc...
i would like to get back to crewing on sailboats and warmer climates.will travell to met with your boat

Hello, our names are Alan(50) and Evelyn(54) Barker and we just purchased a 43' Searunner trimaran (sleeps eight, launched 1997, still brand new) We are 'absentee owners' living in Boise Idaho making tentative investigations into the idea of having another qualified mature couple joining us for cruising and diving. Our boat is moored in St. Augustine, Florida and our first cruising plan will be this June for a three week adventure in the Bahamas. My experience (Alan) has been limited to several professional lessons, ASA certifications and a week charter of a 35' Fontaine Tabago catamaran in Belize. It's not a lot of experience, but that makes me a very careful and conservative skipper. Although I have limited experience, I am fully committed to doing things correctly and in order.

I am 21 years of age and am looking to travel new and exotic places. I am an expert fishermen and been in a couple of offshore and inshore tournments.I have lived in the lower Florida Keys for two years, the Breey Islands in the Bahamas, and Saba.I am very knowledgeable about the ocean, navigation, fishing and sailing. I am a very clean and like to have the vessel clean at all time. I am a master cook and my fiance is a licenced massage threrapist, which could be handy for those who go out to relax. I am PADI certified and am an expert on spearfishing and freediving. I am very layed back kind of guy and get a long with everyone. My only sailing experience was a journey made in 2002 from Darwin, Australia to Singapore. I crewed on a cat with five others. My tasks were simple and easy for me - a shift daily and nightly at the helm and the up and down of sail and of course, my turns cooking for the crew, which I enjoy. I miss the sea now, though I'm afraid of it, I love it. I didn't get seasick over the course of the two month journey. Now I'm beginning a journey again December 1st in Thailand with my partner (24 y.o strong and sweet male) and we are open to all oppertunities and experience to work and learn and travel. I am a 21 y.o female, we are American, and I also hold a British passport, I am a duel citizen. We are gardeners and homesteaders from New York state. Hello,

my name is Peter Madej. My sailing experience:
- PYA Yacht Coastal Skipper
- as a blue water sailing, I've 10000 miles experience (I sailed over the Europe)
- I've been saling since I was five per four months a year, so I spend something about five years on the yacht. Since eight years I've been the skipper of inland yachts. Per seven months I worked as a sailing instructor

In the end of October 2004 I'll finish sailing voyage from Le Havre (France) to Gdaƒsk (Poland), and I want to spend this winter as a sailboat crew. I can travel to every place in Europe, and then sail everywhere. In exchange of my work as a experienced crew I want only maintenance.

I'm sailing as crew on a 40 feet monohull from Florida to New Zealand trought the Pacific Islands and I will be in New Zealand around end of November. I'm looking to crew on a boat from there to south east asia, Australia or to anyone going west (I'm going slowly to the mediterranean sea).
