Formula 18 Worlds

There were 140 entries, but the Dutch team of Mitch Booth and Herbert
Derksen pull off a win in Erquy, near the St. Malo coast of France.
Round the Bay

Breaking tradition, the 24-mile race started and finished in Maumee Bay at
the western end of Lake Erie. There was a participation record turn-out of
37 beach- cats – Hobie 16s,18s & Inter 20s.
The 47th Annual Mug
Race

Hosted by the Rudder Club of Jacksonville, Florida, this race runs from
Palatka up the Saint Johns River to Orange Park. This year, 62 multihulls
entered to add to the 127 monohulls.

Memorial Regatta

the 2000 Summer Olympics, the race had 26 eager entries ranging from 28' to

Round the Island Race

Tornado Gold:
A Review of the 2000 Sydney Olympics

Out of the 16 Olympic Tornado fleet entrants, the Austrian team of Roman
Hagara and Hans-Peter Steinacher emerged victorious, coming home with the
Gold. Hot in persuit were Darren Bun-dock and John Forbes winning Silver for
Australia, and Roland Gaebler and Rene Schwall taking Bronze for Germany.
Performance Race Week
Held off the coast of Pensacola, Florida, this race had a strong showing of
beach -cats with nearly 80 entered. This event was sponsored by Performance
Cata-marans, maker of all participating multi-hulls including Inter, Nacra
and Prindle.
