The hydrofoiled Latvian Catri returns as a 23-foot version. On the surface,
this boat looks like an ordinary trimaran, but as soon as the wind picks up its
anything but. It can be used as cruiser or racer, with its conventional layout of a

The Tunnocks Scottish Island Peaks Race

The biggest of its kind, this race is not for the weak. With injuries just weeks
before the race, Mark Rigby and Rob Jebb join the Ronin Team as top-notch fell runners.
The race starts with a five-mile running race in Oban; then a sail to Salen 20
miles away; followed by a 21-mile, 3000+ foot climb of Ben Mor; then a sail from Jura to
Arran; then onto Goat Fell and Troon.
Peaks Debut
by Terry Travers
Slingshot (a Robin Chamberlin-designed catamaran) ends up being the only
multihull to compete when three other multis drop out due to problems. Pretty much right
out of the box, these rugged Australian waters turn out to be a 327-mile test sail. Even
though the boat and runners held their own, it wasnt enough to pull off a multihull
victory.
